Built from masonry experience

Traditional masonry, rethought for the way outdoor spaces are built today.

ModuStone was created to make real-stone outdoor features easier to plan, purchase and install, without giving up the character, weight and permanence that make masonry worth choosing in the first place.

Real masonry. Real stone.Built as a product, not improvised from scratch on every site.

Where the idea came from

Built by a mason, not designed to imitate masonry.

ModuStone was founded by Dean MacArthur, a third-generation mason with more than 20 years of hands-on masonry experience.

That experience made one problem hard to ignore. Customers love the look and permanence of stone, but a traditional site-built masonry feature can depend on specialized labour, weather, staging, scheduling and days of work at the customer’s property.

The ModuStone idea is simple: do more of the difficult masonry work before the product reaches the site. Build the feature in controlled, repeatable sections, finish the visible stonework before delivery, then set it on a prepared site.

The product is intended to arrive as finished masonry, not as a concrete shell waiting for another crew to make it look like stone. That distinction is central to ModuStone.

What we keep

The parts of masonry that should never be simplified away.

Modular does not mean disposable. The point is to make genuine masonry easier to buy and install, not to turn it into a lightweight imitation.

01

Real stone

Natural-stone finishes and genuine masonry detailing remain at the centre of the product.

02

Craftsmanship

The visible work is still built with the judgement and finish expected from experienced masonry.

03

Substance

These are substantial outdoor features intended to feel permanent, not temporary patio accessories.

04

Long-term design

Products are conceived as part of the landscape or outdoor living space, not as something to replace every few seasons.

What we change

Move the complication off site.

The modular approach changes when and where the work happens, while preserving the finished look people expect from real masonry.

Pre-built sectionsMore of the skilled work is completed before delivery.
Repeatable layoutsStandard configurations make planning and pricing easier.
Shorter site workThe installation is focused on preparation, placement, connections and finishing.
Scalable deliveryA product-based approach can serve homeowners, contractors, stone yards and designers.

Made in Prince Edward Island

A Canadian masonry product designed to go farther than the jobsite.

ModuStone is based in Prince Edward Island, where the products are developed around the realities of Canadian outdoor construction, seasonal weather and the expectations people have for permanent masonry.

Our goal is to make high-quality stone features easier to specify and purchase whether the customer is a homeowner planning one project, a contractor adding a masonry feature to a larger landscape build, or a dealer looking for a distinctive outdoor product.

ModuStone is built in Prince Edward Island, with regional and longer-distance freight planned around the actual product, destination and unloading requirements. The aim is a Canadian product that can travel well beyond the Island without turning the destination into a masonry jobsite.

Delivery and installation requirements are confirmed by product and project location.
